Red Sox vs. Rays

For our three-year wedding anniversary, Timothy and I headed south to St. Petersburg, Florida, to see our Boston Red Sox play the Tampa Bay Rays on Tuesday, August 4. Our air conditioner had not been working so well for the past couple of weeks in the Honda which is not-so-comfortable in South Georgia. Well... it decided to die while on the way to Florida. So, Timothy and I went with the "windblown look" and rolled down the windows... all the way there and all the way back the next day. The game was at 7:00pm and we arrived, much sweatier than when we started, at about 4:30pm. From our downtown hotel room, we could see the ocean! The beach and Boston baseball... doesn't get much better than that!!! After we cooled off, we walked down to the water and had our anniversary dinner at The Moon Under Water, a British Colonial tavern. After dinner, we had the shuttle from the hotel come pick us up and take us to the game. We had a wonderful time cheering our team on at Tropicana Field! Thirteen innings later, yes 13, the Sox lost. Sad game, but a great getaway!
