Missing New England Fall

So it's Friday, September 18. Thomasville's high temperature today is in the high 80s with max. humidity at 90%. In South Hamilton, Massachusetts, the high today is 73 with max. humidity at 52%. .::sigh::. It's simple... it is NOT fall yet in the South! I am truly missing all of the sounds, smells, sights, tastes, and feelings of New England fall. Timothy and I were spoiled for the last three years to be a part of such a wonderful fall season. For blogging purposes I think it most appropriate to list the many small details I miss that make fall so special in New England.

I miss...
  • picking apples at Russell Orchards
  • apple cider
  • apple cider donuts
  • baking Apple Crisp (and eating it too!)
  • pumpkins in all sizes
  • baking pumpkin pie way before Thanksgiving :)
  • making chili
  • fall colors
  • having college football parties
  • the beautiful colors of the leaves
  • hearing people say "leaf peeping"
  • the crisp air and breezes
  • Red Sox baseball
  • wearing sweatshirts
  • fall crafts with my students
  • discussing God's design for the leaves with my students
  • the Halloween house in Beverly (is it decorated yet, anyone?)
Fall will come eventually in Georgia, yes, I know that... but can't it come any faster?
