Summer Series (Installment 2): Settling Into Our New Home

God is so good! (All the time!) We were blessed to be able to leave seminary and buy a house in Thomasville... our first house! Our lovely light-blueish-gray house with black shutters is perfect for us right now! It's 56 years old, 3-bedroom, 2 bath, and needs some updating, but who do you know who has their home exactly how they want it? We have started and will hopefully finish very soon the job of painting the wood paneling. After several coats of primer and paint, I don't advise it. Our beautiful color choice of "Pale Oak Grove" makes the dining areas and kitchen look so fresh though! Another project we have started is the makeover of the guest bathroom. We bought a new pedestal sink and faucet and had them installed. The next step is to tear out the "swan lake" shower door and put up a regular shower curtain in black and cream toile. Pictures of these projects completed will be posted soon. We love our new home and all the space we have! Sure beats the one bedroom apartment, although we loved not having to clean for hours on end! Just a few more boxes to go through and store... then on to more home improvement projects.
