In the words of the new song of Martina McBride, "Life is a roller coaster ride!" This part of the chorus sums up life for these Scoonovers these days.
By the end of June:
-We will house hunt and mostly likely be new homeowners
-Timothy graduates
-Ashley finishes her third year as a teacher
-We move
-We go to Knoxville for a family wedding
-Timothy is examined on the Presbytery floor
-Timothy may be ordained
-Timothy begins his new call as a pastor
(And in all likelihood, throw a couple of meltdowns for Ashley in there!)
On another note...
We had a blessed Resurrection Sunday! We worshipped with our church family and then celebrated with the Ketchams in New Hampshire! I took Not Yo' Mama's Banana Pudding for dessert! This recipe is one of my favorites of Paula Deen's. Geoff grilled pork tenderloin; to accompany that, we had yummy rolls, green beans, scalloped potatoes, fruit salad, and iceberg wedges with bacon and blue cheese. Geoff's brother's family also celebrated with us. It was so fun to watch the six kids hunting for eggs and enjoying being with each other. It was a special Easter treat to be with them. Thanks, Sharon and Geoff! :)
*Recipe note on the pudding: I use a 3.4 oz. box of pudding and an 8 oz. container of whipped topping.
