We are all gardeners.

The theme of gardening/nature/flowers has been creeping into my life lately. From the springlike temperatures and weather to the beautiful camellias (see picture) in my front yard to my current bible study. Our women's bible study has been reading and working through Timothy Keller's gospel in life. Such an eye-opener and exactly what I needed at this point in life! It's amazing how God works all of those tiny details out. This past week's theme word was "work." In the video portion, T. Keller explained our work as that of a gardener - taking raw materials, rearranging or reorganizing them, with the product being something we need. He related this analogy to all aspects of work - from career work to working from the home. This really resonated with me as most of my time/energy is spent taking care of my son. So whatever it is that you do for "work," do it for the Lord with the care of a deeply devoted gardener.
