The Thomasville chapter has begun...

As I sit in Knoxville this afternoon, Timothy is signing a myriad of papers to close on our house in Thomasville, Georgia. He left early this morning and arrived in early afternoon. He called around lunchtime and commented on the cotton fields and pecan trees, very different from what we just left in Massachusetts! :) It's hard to believe that we do not live in Massachusetts anymore and that he is finished with seminary and me with teaching for now. It's not really set in yet that we now live in another state and have a house! We're so thankful for the support and generosity that we witnessed upon leaving our MA communities.

Back to a post I started about the farewell reception that we had at our seminary church home... on Sunday, June 7, South Congregational Church held a reception for us after the service. As is the South Church tradition, a delicious cake was served in our honor. What we didn't expect was the generous gift of a Lowe's gift card!! This was such a blessing to us as we will be needing to purchase several items for our house. As we bid farewell to some and said "see you later" to others, we were showered with love and memories of this wonderful community of people. We could never have imagined three years ago that we would touch and be touched by so many! Thank you, South Church!

The next phase of the move is to load up some more of our belongings we left three years ago here in Knoxville on the Allied truck that we left in Massachusetts and head to Georgia later this week! Come on, truck! Get here soon! :)

Can't wait to read the Georgia chapter. Good luck and I definitely want to see pictures of the new house.
