Small town living

Hear ye, hear ye! We're moved in to our new house in Thomasville! We're happy to be here and are enjoying getting settled. Timothy and I will both be the first to say that we've never experienced hospitality and being welcomed quite like this before. The attitudes and kindness of the native Thomasvillians are the complete opposite of the "general" population of Massachusetts (sorry to my northern friends, you're not the ones I'm talking about). Complete strangers wave to us and actually engage us in conversation! I'm having to relearn what this is like. :)

Timothy is gone to Albany for the day for his examination by the Flint River Presbytery. This is a meeting in which he has to preach (a ten minute sermon?), defend his statement of faith, and can be asked anything by the members of the committee. Pray that God's peace will guard his heart and mind today.

In other news, we're headed to Knoxville this weekend for my cousin's wedding. I'm excited to see some extended family and be a part of the festivities and his special day! Also, Timothy will be ordained as a Minister of Word and Sacrament in the PC(USA) this Sunday at Second Presbyterian at 3:00pm. Hope to see many of you there!

As a last side note, Timothy and I both are already tired of hearing the Georgia Bulldog fight song and seeing the big "G" flags, grill covers, decals, etc. everywhere. Vol fans unite and help us in rooting them on! We've threatened to fly our Power "T" flag, but it's been suggested that we not do that. :) Go Vols! Here's to good ol' Rocky Top!
Pictures of the house to be uploaded and posted soon!
