Update on the Call Search

SNOW DAY = procrastinating things I "should" be doing + catching up on the items I never have time for

With the above equation ruling my snow day today... snow still coming down by the way... I thought I would give a brief update as to the call search for a church position. Since Friday, Tim and I have spent many hours posting his PIF (Personal Information Form) on the PC(USA) CLC (Church Leadership Connection) site. Then step two has been to locate churches through CIFs (Church Information Form) with calls he would be a fit for or interested in on the same website. We have located many churches in many states and have organized their contact information, etc. in an Excel spreadsheet (obviously not Tim's idea, hehe). He has since contacted all of those churches. So now begins a period of waiting - waiting to hear back from those contacts. I am happy to update that we have heard from several places but with a wide spectrum of answers. Everything from "we're unable to hire someone due to finances" to "we'll review your PIF and be in touch." So life for us has quickly become even more busy as we still have to work and get through classes and today plow snow! As I said in a post not too long ago: WE COVET YOUR PRAYERS in this process, both for the Lord's leading in our life together as well as for these many churches searching for their next pastors!

A side note of interest...
Tim just found out yesterday that he has been chosen as the Gwyn Walters Preaching Scholar for the year! Though excited and honored, he's nervous because he now has to preach in a chapel service here on campus in front of his peers.
