Apple Picking

Today, Amanda B. and I went to Russell Orchards in Ipswich for apple picking! I've been wanting to go since the first weekend in September, but it just never worked out until this afternoon. Amanda recently moved to the area, so it was even more fun to take someone who's never been before. Russell Orchards is one of my favorite places on the North Shore. Home to famous apple cider donuts, not only can you pick apples, but other seasonal fruits and vegetables. Their store is so cute, housing lots of local artwork, crafts, and other goods. We had a blast today picking several different kinds of apples including: Empire, Macoun, Gala, Cortland, Jonagold, and McIntosh. One of my favorites parts of picking apples there is the hayride to and from the orchards. Below are a few pictures from our excursion!
