Today, Tim and I went to the Essex Clam Fest. There were lots of interesting booths there, games for children, and the best part - a chowder contest! So, we stood in line a while watching others enjoying their samples of chowder. Finally, we were able to go in! We sampled about 12 different vendors' versions of Clam Chowder - some thick, some thin, even chowder ice cream! Our verdict for the best was
Tom Shea's! We'll see who wins this Monday in the local paper.
