Hiatus. Yes, say that I took a hiatus. For eleven months? Sure, we'll say that I intended to do that. Nothing like being a wife of a pastor, mother, teacher, and graduate student. Some say I'm crazy. Ever looked "crazy" up in a thesaurus? Pretty hysterical. No, I am not crazy. I choose these many things for my life. And I love it. I am absolutely loving every minute of this so-called crazy life. So where have I been these last eleven months? Everywhere but here. From enjoying worship and fellowship at church, to snuggling with my little one reading books, to discouraging four-year-olds from licking the walls, to 75 hours of practicum, to discussing life over dessert with my hubs - that's where I've been. But guess what, folks? Summer is here and so am I. Back from the hiatus.
I thought about how to write this post - re-introductory of sorts. But I did not come up with a clever plan. So I think I will start with today, imagine that!?
Cooper, my almost 3-year-old, overcame one of his biggest fears today - the pool! He has never been a fan of swimming. But today, he swam, really swam, for the first time and jumped off of the side of the "big pool" as he says into his daddy's arms. I think we were more excited than he was.
